Starwood of Boston rolled out the “Ice Carpet” for visiting execs in town for their annual conference. Guests were treated to a private ice skating party at the new rink in the heart of the Pru on Boylston Street. Grilled Cheese Nation food truck pulled up to the party to warm hearts and tummies with its melty creations and velvety hot chocolate.

Food Truck Nation Participates In Boston Local Food Festival!

Throngs of local food lovers converged on Boston’s Waterfront at Fort Point Channel for Boston’s very 1st Local Food Festival. A picture-perfect autumn Saturday set the mood as people of all ages came out to sample a local bounty of the finest culinary delights our region has to offer. It was also the debut of Grilled Cheese Nation, our 1st concept food truck for Boston, which we’re happy to report was a huge hit with the locals. Our featured menu of signature grilled cheese sandwiches was prepared by Chef Ernie with ingredients from an array of local farms and producers including Smith’s Farmstead, Blythedale Farm, Vermont Butter & Cheese Co. and Iggy’s Breads. Spotted in the crowd was Mayor Menino, who we snapped noshing on one of our yummy grilled cheeses. Hey, if “all politics is local,” then all food should be too!

We’re Loco For Local!

The first Boston Local Food Festival takes over Congress Street at Fort Point Channel TODAY from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. with a celebration of locally sourced food and drink.

“It’s going to be spectacular,” said Laury Hammel, executive director of the Sustainable Business Network. “This is the first event of its kind in a metropolitan area anywhere in the country.”

Join Food Truck Nation on Wednesday, September 29th for a workshop hosting by The City of Boston and its new Food Czar Edith Murnane. This is the first food truck clinic of its kind and it’s open to all chefs and entrepreneurs who are thinking about foraying into the exciting food truck biz.
